Sugar is just sweet tasting evil. No one wants to hear this, but sugar is a bad thing. And the more processed it becomes; the worse it is for your body. You cannot lose weight quick if you do not get rid of a large portion of processed sugar. This means candy, soda, and anything of similar sugary-ness. One thing is clear though - sugars in an apple are much better than sugars in a candy bar. Make your pick. What's more important to you?
